Pastor Doug’s notes:  This is a cool version that has the Message version parallel to the NIV text.  It is compact, so it might be hard to take notes (if you like to write a lot!)  Fun way to read the Bible:  a classic text next to a very updated version (with lots of our vernacular).  Of course, it means you will be reading the text twice!
